Carolina Trust Bank Centralizes Employee Communications, Strengthens Customer Service and Streamlines IT Department Operations with Banc Intranets

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn., Aug. 31, 2016 – Banc Intranets, a provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced that Carolina Trust Bank implemented its BancWorks® employee intranet to centralize information sharing across its branch network, strengthening customer service and streamlining its IT department’s operations.

Headquartered in Lincolnton, N.C. and with 79 full-time employees, Carolina Trust ($374 million in assets) recognized that it needed a central hub for employee communication and to store important resources and documents. SVP and Chief Compliance and Operations Officer Kim Cooke recommended BancWorks as a solution for Carolina Trust, having previously used the solution while working with two other financial institutions.

Since completing its implementation in March 2015, the bank credits BancWorks for significantly improving access to information, such as rate sheets for loans or deposits, documents and other essential forms, all of which improve customer service. In addition, Carolina Trust reports stronger operational efficiencies for its IT department, specifically in its ability to streamline requests through its ticketing system, while also reducing email traffic for all departments and archiving monthly reports on internal procedures and requests for easy retrieval and review.
