Equitable Bank Streamlines Communications and Access to Information for Employees and Board of Directors with Banc Intranets
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn., November 7, 2016 – Banc Intranets, a provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced that Equitable Bank is implementing its BancWorks® employee intranet and DirectorsLink® board portal to streamline communications and increase operational efficiencies across its branch network.
The Grand Island, Neb.-based bank was seeking an intranet that provided its employees with a broad set of bank-specific features and selected BankWorks for its ease-of-use, ability to streamline internal communications and access to documents, blogs and surveys, while also strengthening the management of IT requests and issues. Impressed with the functionality provided by BancWorks, Equitable Bank also selected DirectorsLink to centralize board information and reporting for its members. In September, the bank rolled out the portal to a small group of users in its senior management meeting and plans to expand to the board of directors within the next six months.
“One of our biggest deciding factors in searching for an intranet was to find a flexible, bank-centric technology,” said Darcy Ray, CFO of Equitable Bank. “We choose Banc Intranets over others because of its ease-of-use and ability to maintain compliance with rapidly changing regulations. Banc Intranets was designed specifically with financial institutions in mind and simply offers a wider selection of features that allow our employees do their job more efficiently.”
“To effectively support not only its customers, but its employees and leadership as well, a bank must have adequate systems and technology in place to strengthen employee workflows,” said Mark Anderson, CEO of Banc Intranets. “By prioritizing the establishment of process-oriented workflows, Equitable Bank is building upon its existing foundation of meeting – and exceeding – the financial needs of the communities it serves.”
Within the next year, Equitable Bank plans to introduce online account opening, add new features to its mobile app, such as debit card activation/deactivation and person-to-person and account-to-account payments.
